Poetry Out Loud: Workshop One In-Person

Calling all 9th through 12th graders with an interest in poetry and performance! Keene Public Library is hosting a Poetry Out Loud local competition on January 25th. Poetry Out Loud is a great way to learn about poetry and performance, as well as to gain confidence and community, and in preparation, we're holding three workshops to guide you from picking a poem all the way to perfecting your performance. We'll also have snacks to power us through some poems!

12/17 is Workshop One, where we'll show you how to find poems you connect with and want to perform!

1/7 is Workshop Two, where we'll help you learn the skills for dynamic poetry recitation!

1/21 is Workshop Three, where we'll practice with each other and put on our finishing touches!

Finally, 1/25 is our competition, where you'll have the opportunity to perform and get feedback from community judges. The winner of our local competition will move on to the regional competition!
